QB: Matthew Stafford – $6100

I’ve said it countless times before, but daily fantasy football comes down to finding the guys who have the potential to finish at the top of their position. This week, there is no better candidate for this than Stafford, who comes in at an extremely affordable $6100 on Draft Kings. Everyone knows about the porous nature of the Saints defense, and Stafford’s performance on Thanksgiving proved he’s plenty capable of topping the charts with massive numbers. If you’re looking to save at QB, don’t over think it this week.

Honorable Mentions – A. Smith $5100, T. Taylor $5600

RB: Denard Robinson – $4600

Yeldon looks like he’s sitting this week, opening the door for Shoelace (best nickname in the league by the way) to feast on all of the carries. If Tim Hightower can thrive when being fed the ball 20+ times in a game, Robinson definitely can against an Atlanta defense that has struggled as of late. Workload alone gives Robinson an extremely high floor and, due to his big play ability, he has a high ceiling too. All for a sub-$5000 cost. Plug him into many lineups.

Honorable Mentions – D. Johnson $5700, E. Lacy $5200

WR: Jeremy Maclin – $5500 STEAL OF THE WEEK

This one is almost too tasty to believe it’s true but, trust me, it is. Maclin has turned it around during recent weeks, finding a connection with QB Alex Smith that simply wasn’t there through most of the season. This week, Maclin gets a Baltimore secondary that ranks second to last in the league against opposing wide receivers. Maclin always has the potential to regress and underperform but the odds of that happening this week seem extremely low. When you’d have to spend more on guys like T.Y Hilton and Michael Crabtree in bad matchups, I’d much rather plug-in Maclin and watch the points pour in.

Honorable Mentions: K. Aiken $4600, M. Floyd $4400

TE: Julius Thomas – $4700

Very underwhelming from the tight end position this week, so I went with the best available. Thomas has been very hit or miss this season but, for the most part, has found something of a connection with Blake Bortles. It’s not fancy, but with a decent matchup against Atlanta, Thomas has as good of a chance as anyone to have a good week and comes at a good price.

Honorable Mentions: G. Barnidge $5000, R. Rodgers $4300

DST: Bengals – $3400

A lot to like here. First, the 49ers aren’t exactly lighting the world on fire when it comes to offense as of late. Combine this with a Bengals team desperate to earn a bye week and I think we see a big week from the Bengals defense. I actually think that the injury to Andy Dalton helps the Bengals potential to perform well on defense, as they will have to compensate for the lack of efficiency on offense. Sure, this could definitely backfire, but if the defense steps their game up to a different level to help the team get an important win, daily fantasy players will benefit in having that unit in their lineups.

Honorable Mentions: Panthers $3300, Dolphins $2800
