Week 4 TNF Picks [Vikings vs Rams]
Week 3 is in the books and our picks are like the NFL–full of parody. Brandon increased his lead with an 8-7 week, Dan and Orlando weren’t far behind at 7-8. Through three weeks, here are the standings…
Standings thru Week 3
Brandon Reid: 29-17-2
Dan Schalk: 25-21-2
Orlando Torres: 24-22-2
Vikings vs Rams
Dan Schalk: Minnesota Vikings. I put my money where my mouth is on this pick. At my local (off-shore) sports book I took the Vikings ML at +230 so my $50 bet will turn into a cool $115. I obviously expect the Vikings to bounce-back after an embarrassing performance to one of the worst teams in the league. The Rams will be without their two best defensive backs and Cousins will have a field day through the air. Forget the spread and take Minnesota outright.
Brandon Reid: LA Rams. The Rams are rolling, as expected. The Vikings are not, a little unexpectedly. It raised my brow when I saw the 49ers compete with the Vikings in Week 1. Either San Francisco was going to be really good, or the Vikings were a little down. Then a tie with the Packers, OK. But then to get KO’d by the Buffalo Bills? This is just the type of early season game that will go the other way and surprise me, but as of now, these two teams are headed in the opposite direction. The line is 6.5 for the home team Rams.
Orlando Torres: Minnesota Vikings. After an embarrassing beat down from Josh Allen, and the BILLS! Minnesota must now move on, but they’ve got a big game ahead of them on a short week. As exciting as this game should be, both teams are also pretty banged up with Cook out, and now Talib and Peters are out for the Rams. I’m going with Minnesota here on prime time with a bounce back game.
