Our NFL Picks will be a weekly column, where our writers choose the winner of four games including one which will be an upset pick.

The Picks will be tracked and we will crown a champion at the end of the season.  Writer’s Dan Schalk and James Kiblin will pick the games and battle it out this season.

So far this season Dan is 21-7 and Jim is 14-13-1.

Dan’s Picks

Dolphins over Jaguars 28-17

Ryan Tannehill had the Miami offense clicking on all cylinders last week with their win over the Bears.  I expect that to continue over a Jaguars team that finally got in the win column, despite a bad performance by quarterback Blake Bortles.

Browns over Raiders 35-21

The Browns were embarrassed last week by the Jaguars.  After that humiliation, I expect head coach Mike Pettine to get his team prepared to beat down the winless Raiders.  We may see a Johnny Football sighting if the Browns manage to lose this game.

Chiefs over Ram 24-21

The Rams were unstoppable against the Seahawks last week as trick play after trick play worked in their favor.  Don’t expect that to happen again this week.   Andy Reid will have an offensive game plan to exploit the Rams weak defense.

Upset Pick of the Week:

Chargers over Broncos 24-17

The Chargers were the one team that beat Denver multiple times last season, and they know they can beat this Broncos squad.  I expect a low scoring, physical battle that the Chargers win late after a short week of preparation.

Jim’s Picks

Denver or San Diego 31-20
I know our chief and editor picked Chargers to upset the Broncos, but I feel this is the time of the year Denver gets rolling.  The Chargers are too one dimensional on offense and I think Denver makes a statement with a win in this game.

Seattle over Carolina 30-17

Seattle been on a slide as of late. Cam has been struggling as well. Seattle gets the aggressive approach back to their game, and the defense once again becomes dominant.

Bears over Patriots 24-21
Who would of thought the day would come, we would say Bears would be the better team, but now I believe this to be true.  Better skill position players on the Bears side of the ball that will be the difference in a Chicago victory.
Upset of the Week:
Falcons over Lions 27-24
Atlanta is averaging over 26 points per game at home since last year, even though they are the”home” team in London. Detroit has been struggling as of late. I feel the Falcons will get the job done, and give themselves life in a weak NFC South division.
