Week 8 waiver wire pickups
Week 8 is right around the corner so it is time to look at some waiver wire pickups for this week.
The Dallas Cowboys have been looking to replicate last season’s running success and so far have not been able to do so. Last week, the team got a great performance out of backup Darren McFadden. McFadden had 29 carries for 152 yards and a touchdown which was easily his best game of the year. Joseph Randle left Sunday’s game with an injury and is expected to miss some time which makes McFadden the expected starter going forward.
Blue has always been a nice bench player to hold on to in case starter, Arian Foster, got hurt. That has once again happened and is why Blue should be added this week. In week 3 with Foster out, Blue had 31 carries for 139 yards and a touchdown. This should show that he is capable of being the lead back and although Chris Polk should get some touches, Blue is the most likely to get the majority of the opportunities going forward.
Since making his NFL debut in week 4, Diggs has been an explosive player for the Vikings. In three games he has 19 catches for 324 yards and a touchdown. Diggs is showing no sign of letting up in production as he has 9 targets in each of the three games. All of this is why he should be added to fantasy teams this week.
Washington came back from injury in week 7 and had a great outing with nine catches for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Washington has played in three games this year and has 22 catches for 337 yards and two touchdowns. Until Cecil Shorts returns, Washington should be the clear cut number two wideout and should continue to be a productive receiver with Deandre Hopkins getting the most attention from defenses.
