Week 9 NFL Picks
Our NFL Picks will be a weekly column, where our writers choose the winner of four games including one which will be an upset pick.
The Picks will be tracked and we will crown a champion at the end of the season. Writer’s Dan Schalk and James Kiblin will pick the games and battle it out this season.
Through 8 weeks Dan remains in the lead at 24-8, while Jim has some catching up to do with a record of 16-15-1.
Cardinals over Cowboys 31-18
The Cardinals love to crowd the offensive line and all out blitz throughout the game, something Dallas struggled with mightily on Monday night against Washington. I expect Demarco Murray will fumble at some point in the game, because he has been doing a great job at that–and the Cowboys will physically beat up en roue to the Cardinals victory.
Bengals over Jaguars 28-10
The Bengals bounced back last week with a win over the rival Ravens, and I look for them to continue that as they play the lowly Jags this week. Andy Dalton, with the return of AJ Green is too much for Jacksonville to handle.
Colts over Giants 31-24
I think this game will be closer than some might think, but Andrew Luck is the better quarterback at this point in the season. The Colts offense is more fluid and with their new secret weapon rookie Donte Moncrief, Indy picks up the win on Monday night.
Upset Pick of the Week:
Jets over Chiefs 24-14
The Jets turn to Mike Vick as their starting quarterback, and I think Gang Green will pull out the win, but it is not due to the qb change. The Jets run defense is one of the best in the NFL and I see them shutting down the duo of Charles and Davis in the Chiefs explosive running attack. The Jets will try and make Alex Smith beat them, and he falls short this week.
Eagles over Texans 20-14
Eagles will be facing a tough test with Clowney and Watt bringing the pressure up front for Houston. Philly has a strong enough offense to squeeze this one out, just when they are starting to get healthy at the right time.
Broncos over Patriots 31-30
This will be the best game of this weekend. The Broncos have looked good all year, and the Patriots have been clicking as they always do at this time of year. I think the Broncos are the better team plain and simple. The better team walks away with the victory.
Seahawks over Raiders 31-7
Seahawks find their groove against the Raiders, as every team has this year. The game could end up being sloppy with penalties and turnovers, however the Seahawks roll through this one.
Upset Pick of the Week:
Baltimore over Pittsburgh 35-28
I know Big Ben just had a career day, however I don’t believe we will see that occurring again. Flacco wins in this quarterback duel, look out for Flacco to Steve Smith all day.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/week-9-nfl-picks/NFL PicksArizona Cardinals,Baltimore Ravens,Cincinnati Bengals,Dallas Cowboys,Denver Broncos,Houston Texans,Indianapolis Colts,Jacksonville Jaguars,Kansas City Chiefs,New England Patriots,New York Giants,New York Jets,Oakland Raiders,Philadelphia Eagles,Pittsburgh Steelers,Seattle SeahawksOur NFL Picks will be a weekly column, where our writers choose the winner of four games including one which will be an upset pick.
