schitts creek

You aren’t watching the show Schitt’s Creek yet? Here’s why you should be:

The cast alone is reason enough. Eugene Levy (American Pie) stars as the patriarch of the family whose business went under and has left he and his wife, Moira (Catherine O’Hara) a washed up ex soap star, and their two adult children, David (Dan Levy) played by Eugene’s real life son, and Alexis (Annie Murphy) being forced to move from their wealthy lifestyle to the small town life in the town of Schitt’s Creek, sharing adjoined motel rooms. With a great supporting cast including Eugenes real life daughter, Sarah Levy as lovable, quirky waitress Twyla, Chris Elliott (Roland Schitt), Jennifer Robertson (Jocelyn Schitt), and Emily Hampshire (Stevie) who runs the front desk of the motel.

The constant sibling rivalry between David and Alexis is hilarious and Dan Levys facial expressions are an art form all on their own. They both are experiencing new things and people. Alexis with bad boy Mutt (Tim Rozon), and nice guy Ted (Dustin Milligan), and Davids relationship with Stevie is so fun to watch. Their chemistry is spot on. The show is currently in its third season and is better than ever. If you’re looking for your next binge worthy show, this is it.

You can catch Schitt’s Creek on CBC in Canada Tuesdays at 9pm and on Pop TV in the US Wednesdays at 8/7c, and the first two seasons are streaming on Netflix.
