Will Kenneth Faried’s Big Summer Carry Over to Fantasy?
The “Manimal” Kenneth Faried has been having a great summer, helping Team USA to the Gold Medal game (I would say almost assured of that gold medal) in the FIBA World Cup across the Atlantic in Spain. Faried has dominated at times during the International tournament, averaging 12.5 points, on almost 70% shooting from the floor, and eight rebounds, in under 22 minutes per game. Faried has been a solid fantasy power forward during his short NBA career, but has struggled with consistency. Heading into his fourth season, Faried looks more than capable to take the next step in his professional career, and that started this summer with his stellar play in Spain. If Faried can continue his high field goal percentage (68% during the World Cup, 55% for his NBA career) his points per game will surely increase. With Faried’s athleticism and high motor, the rebounds and blocks will always be a part of his game that contributes most to his fantasy value. Look for Faried to break out this season in Denver en route to a Top 8 finish of all Power Forwards in fantasy.
