John Wall rallied his boys in Game 3 to avoid going 0-3 in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals as the Wizards defeated the Celtics 116-89. Regardless of which teams advances to the ECF one of these teams are going to enter bruised and battered. Whether they’re on the road or at home you’ve got to love the way Washington is playing. They’re not allowing any easy shots, and they are not giving any of the Celtics players any separation which led to bad blood boiling all night on Thursday.Wizards

Game 3 featured eight technical fouls and three ejections, luckily no teeth were knocked out here. John Wall led his team with 24 points, Otto Porter had 19 in 37 minutes, Bradley Beal barely scratched double figures with 11, but did a great job defending but it’s was Boban Bogdanovic who stepped up with a double-double with 19 points in 29 minutes and 10 rebounds. From the get-go Washington jumped out to a huge lead with a 22-0 run halfway through the first quarter and that’s when things started to get physical.

Kelly Oubre Jr. got into it with Kelly Olynyk in the battle of the Kelly’s which led to an ejection. Ian Mahinmi and Jonas Jerebko got the crowd hyped with their altercation, but no ejections here and Brandon Jennings got ejected with Terry Rozier after numerous altercations. Seriously just put those two in the octagon already. It’s not what coaches want to see, because ultimately it hurts the teams, but the fans loved it.

Isaiah Thomas couldn’t get things going on the road. He only had 13 points in 29 minutes. Al Horford was the Celtics leading scorer with 16, and Jae Crowder was the only other Celtic to score in double figures with 14. It was sloppy nonetheless. Moving forward Boston will want to avoid having to see Washington past Game 5. They have to stop letting their emotions get in the way here, and continue to dominate the way they’ve been the previous six games. I can’t wait for Game 4, expect more ejections and altercations in this series.
