Wizards

Home court advantage has played a huge factor in this series with each team winning both games. The Wizards appeared to be the better team to close this series quick after the beat downs in Games 1 and 2 but the Hawks went back home to the nest to even this series up.

Back home things wouldn’t be easy for the Wizards despite Bradley Beal’s 27 points, 14 assists and John Wall’s 20. Dennis Schroder led all scorers with 29 points and shot five three-pointers along with eleven assists.

Game five had fans on the edge of their seats of both sides with the Hawks going up 101-99 with a little over a minute remaining, but John Wall had the crowd blowing the roof off when he answered back with the shot of the night knocking down a huge 21-foot jumper. Paul Millsap had a chance take the lead back for the Hawks, and the first steal on the road, but the final buzzer went off as too much time was wasted. This has been one of the better series in the East, and the Wizards won’t be allowed any cushion knowing how tough Game 6 six is going to be on the road.
